Welcome Back, BVCHC! Homeschool Classes Begin September 2nd

The countdown is on! Brazos Valley Community Homeschool Center classes officially kick off Wednesday, September 2nd, and we are so excited to welcome our homeschool families back for another year of learning, friendship, creativity, and community!

Whether your family is returning to BVCHC or joining us for the first time, we hope students arrive excited, ready to learn, and ready to make new connections.

BVCHC exists to give homeschooling families throughout Bryan, College Station, and the greater Brazos Valley access to quality local classes while still preserving the flexibility and freedom that make homeschooling so special. Our students have the opportunity to learn from talented teachers, explore new interests, build friendships, and simply enjoy being part of a thriving homeschool community.

A Few First-Day Reminders

As we begin our new school year, here are a few things that will help our Wednesdays run smoothly:

• Look for the designated ENTRY and EXIT signs when arriving and leaving campus. Following the traffic flow helps us keep drop-off and pick-up organized and safe.

• Please remember to sign in when you arrive.

• Students under age 13 must have a parent or responsible adult remain on campus. Students ages 13 and older may remain without active parent supervision as long as they follow BVCHC and facility expectations.

• Make sure your BVCHC membership dues have been paid. Membership is required for students participating in BVCHC classes.

• Give yourself a little extra time on the first day! New schedules, new classrooms, new teachers, and lots of excited families can make the first Wednesday a little busier than usual.

• Encourage your students to introduce themselves, meet someone new, and make the most of their time at BVCHC!

  
  

More Than Just Classes

One of our favorite things about the Brazos Valley Community Homeschool Center is that Wednesdays aren't only about academics.

They're about community.

They're about a student discovering a subject they didn't know they loved. They're about friendships formed between classes, conversations among parents, encouragement from teachers, creative projects, new challenges, and homeschool families doing life alongside one another.

Our common spaces are there to be enjoyed by BVCHC members, so we encourage families to use them to connect, work together, visit with friends, collaborate on projects, and strengthen our homeschool community.

We believe homeschooling doesn't have to mean learning alone.

BVCHC gives families the opportunity to keep the individualized, parent-directed nature of homeschooling while adding something incredibly valuable: a community to learn alongside.

We hope it doesn't take long before this community feels like yours, too.
